PhDJ Graduate + Lead Coach
Founder, Primal Disco
What are the 3 biggest key learnings from PhDJ?
I am more than the 3 patterns (good or bad) that I have had on repeat as a leader and artist for 20 years.
Hyper, perfectionist, do everything all the time fast.
Now I ask my body wtf it feels and wants, ask myself if I NEED to make this perfect or if it’s just self serving and isn’t really going to make a difference, i dont’ have to do EVERYTHING, I need to do the SOMEthings that serve the things that I ACTUALLY need and desire the most.
What has your experience in PhDJ been like?
Experience? Ahahhahah Is that what you want to call what I went through? Try surgery yall. Like cut you open, shove a scope up an orifice, find the shit that has been in the dark for so long, shit I don’t even have words for, they are in a different alien language, and either kill that shit cuz it was holding me back or ignite it for all to see. I realized how much time I have been wasting but also don’t feel guilt about it. I felt as safe as one can possibly get in a course that had no intention of keeping me in my status quo. The changes I needed to made an orgy out of fear, excitement, and energy of all kinds. It made me make decisions in all parts of my life so much easier. I stopped obsessing about… everything. I became more deliberate, more thoughtful, more clear … and the biggest thing that helped with decision making was the lesson that … the body doesn’t lie, so how bout you include it in the process. Now I ask my body what it has to say about any choice and it feels like I have an ancient advisor with me all the time. I made relationships with people I admire and want to be around (which has become more and more difficult as I get older). I want to DO THINGS with this group!
How would you describe PhDJ to someone who doesn't know about it?
It’s a self discovery, leadership, mentorship, life coaching program that uses the craft of DJing as it’s tool.
What shifts in your life have you observed from the work we did in PhDJ?
I make decisions, big or small, 50%-100% faster because the embodied coursework PhDJ put me through built my relationship and trust in the intelligence of my body. It also built my trust that if the decision I made wasn't PERFECT, not only can I handle whatever consequences with grace, but that it's not the perfection that is satisfying, it's the movement. I get to have so much more life now, I allow myself more pleasure. I also saw a massive shift in how I choose to spend my time, thoughtful - grounded decision making with where I put my energy.
What are you most excited about for what's next for you?
I'm looking forward to the inevitable build of my own brand, and I look forward to the expansion of the "easeful yes" when it comes to what I want. I will be djing around the world this year and beyond.
What would you tell someone who is interested in PhDJ?
Apply, just for the fun of it. You will learn more about yourself, in a fun way, just filling out the application than entire self help books.

“Let me tell you right now, you are going to be on gratitude repeat for anything and everything that brought you here the moment we start till the end of time.
This is not “a dj school.”
This is a life revolution.
Before we even ended the last course, I had: already branded a new party, promoted it with literally ZERO connections, contacts, or friends in my new town. And last weekend I debuted PRIMAL DISCO to a club jam packed with the most joyful, totally enrolled in the vibe, people from all over the area. I even had another PHDJ grad open for me.
And I wasn’t the first one of us to do it! Lexx SOLD THE FUCK OUT OF HER PARTY weeks prior in the UK! Even if you NEVER throw a party, NEVER dj ever (highly unlikely) this course will STILL transform you over and over and over again in ways that will radiate the parts of you that are already bright and unleash the parts of you that have had the dimmer on, and awaken the parts of you that you never knew existed.”
